I will be on vacation from September 29th through October 10th. I will return all emails on October 11th. I will ship all items out on October 11th, given that cleared payment has been received prior to that date.
Hurricane Rita passed us by…
We were prepared. The local schools were closed on Thursday and Friday. The fuel stations in town were pumped dry. Our town is off of I-10 between Houston and San Antonio. Quite a few evacuees from Katrina had made their temporary home here… by Thursday, our small town was home to Rita’s evacuees as well.

I have been remiss in my delay to add the above banner & link to this space.
I drove through Louisiana & into Biloxi, MS many multiple times last school year to visit my boyfriend. My daughter and I walked along the beach in Gulfport. My boyfriend gave me the grand tour of the area. So many beautiful old homes… So much history… so many super nice people…
As I mentioned in my previous entry, I am a substitute teacher. Today, we had a new student in our class - from Louisiana. She is four years old. 4 year olds need a home… need normal… need routine… & comfort. This afternoon, we played DUCK-DUCK-GOOSE. =) She played too.

Labor Day has come and gone.
This year is flying by - it seems like just yesterday that summer vacation was just beginning. Oh well… I’ve heard that time passes by more quickly as we get older, I just wasn’t quite expecting it to happen this quickly.
Anyway…
A friend of the family has started a welcome wagon business and has placed a large order for flower pens. =)
I adore orders & requests. They represent a challenge.
Which brings me to the title up there (looks up)… I received an email late this afternoon from a woman in Australia.
This business is growing larger each day & each day the world wide web takes me and this business a bit farther away from (& closer to) home.
Challenges… btw, I am working on several at the moment. I was waylaid this past weekend (with a pesky summer cold) but will pursue my goals again this weekend. Why the weekend? I have been busy - substituting at the local elementary school (August 15th - September 16th).
